Job Description:
Actively participate in new transaction meetings in order to develop significant exposure to hotel/gaming & real estate underwriting practices
Assist Senior Credit Officers in the global credit approval process which includes meetings & conference calls with Relationship Managers, credit report & term sheet reviews, due diligence, property tours & bank meeting participation
Attend seminars & training classes (in line with the 3- step training cycle) in order to develop sound credit judgment & risk management skills, & Review & comment on Annual Reviews & Amendments.
Portfolio Management Reporting Requirements (50%- 60% time requirement): Prepare a consolidated portfolio report for REIB (including Americas Europe) for presentation to Underwriting and Risk & Resources Committees
Participate in RECC meetings & prepare minutes evidencing RECC approval & any conditions to that approval
Collect, analyze & stress test real estate & hotel/gaming exposures globally for preparation of Portfolio Analysis sections of the annual Industry Batch Reports (including Real Estate as well as Hotel, Gaming, & Leisure)
Responsibilities include:
Monitor watchlist and classified credits for REIB and REOG on quarterly basis and review recommendations for loan loss provisions and charge-offs submitted to Asset Quality Review (AQR) (aka FAS 114 exercise)
Assist in the coordination of the internal ratings review with AQR, the Internal Audit process and liaise with external auditors and examiners (KPMG, Shared National Credits, etc.)
Coordinate with NY Credit Operations periodically to maintain data integrity of the REIB portfolio on Paragon
Coordinate with Deal Logging / Client Adoption department regarding screening new REIB clients
Special Projects (5% - 10% or as time permits)
